German Chancellor Friedrich Merz said on Friday he was "ready to talk" with Russian leaders, but maintained that Russia is not yet prepared for "serious" peace talks with Ukraine. "If it makes sense to talk, we are willing to talk," Merz said at the Munich Security Conference. "But as you can see with the American side, Russia is not yet willing to talk seriously."
