Sales of previously owned homes in the United States slumped in January as frigid temperatures and winter storms dampened activity, industry data showed Thursday. Existing home sales fell 8.4 percent from the prior month, reaching a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 3.91 million units, said the National Association of Realtors (NAR).
