Police raided the premises of the European Commission in Brussels Thursday in a probe into the 2024 sale of real estate assets to the Belgian state, a source close to the investigation told AFP. The EU executive said it was "aware of an ongoing investigation" into the sale of 23 commission buildings in a deal worth some 900 million euros ($965 million), saying it was "confident that the process was conducted in a compliant manner".
