WINDHOEK, 11 FEB (NAMPA) - Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries, Water and Land Reform, Inge Zaamwani, has said Namibia requires N.dollars 1.5 billion to adequately protect its livestock sector in light of a potential Foot and Mouth Disease (FMD) outbreak in neighbouring countries.
Zaamwani said the funding would support the protection of the country’s livestock sector, valued at N.dollars 15 billion, while safeguarding critical market access.
