A Budapest court on Wednesday jailed a German non-binary anti-fascist campaigner for eight years for participating in violence ahead of a far-right event honouring Nazi soldiers. Maja T., 25, was convicted of involvement in violence in 2023 ahead of the "Day of Honour" commemoration in Budapest, in what the defendant called a biased political trial.
