German import prices fall most since early 2024

Berlin (dpa-AFX) - German import prices logged the biggest drop since early 2024, largely due to a sharp decline in energy prices, the country's statistical office reported on Friday. Import prices declined 2.3% in December year-on-year, following a 1.9% drop in November. However, the decline was slower than the 2.6% fall forecast by economists.
