Oil prices extended gains Thursday after US President Donald Trump threatened Iran, a major crude producer, with military strikes and warned that time was running out for a deal on curbing Tehran's nuclear programme. In London afternoon trading, the main US oil contract, West Texas Intermediate, jumped 5.1 percent to $64.43 a barrel.
