Britain's Lloyds Banking Group said Thursday that its net profit rose six percent last year as higher income offset compensation for consumers caught up in a UK car loans scandal. Profit after tax grew to £4.76 billion ($6.58 billion) in 2025 from £4.48 billion one year earlier, the company said in a statement. Britain's financial regulator in October proposed that lenders pay consumers a combined £8.2 billion in compensation after some car loans......
