Iraqi forces thwart suicide bombing attempt in Anbar province

BAGHDAD, Jan. 27 (Xinhua) -- Iraqi security forces on Tuesday arrested a "dangerous" Islamic State (IS) militant wearing an explosive belt in the western province of Anbar, thwarting a suicide bombing attempt, according to official sources. The Iraqi National Security Service said in a statement that the arrest was made based on precise intelligence and after "close monitoring and tracking of the terrorist's movements."
