U.S. stocks close mixed

NEW YORK, Jan. 27 (Xinhua) -- U.S. stocks ended mixed on Tuesday. The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell by 408.99 points, or 0.83 percent, to 49,003.41. The S&P 500 added 28.37 points, or 0.41 percent, to 6,978.6. The Nasdaq Composite Index increased by 215.74 points, or 0.91 percent, to 23,817.1. Nine of the 11 primary S&P 500 sectors ended in green, with technology and utilities leading the gainers by rising 1.42 percent and 1.25 percent,......
