Bekmambetov's 'Mercy' Tops "Avatar: Fire and Ash" at US Box Office Last Weekend - Reports

WASHINGTON, January 26 (RIA Novosti) - Kazakh-Russian director Timur Bekmambetov's sci-fi thriller "Mercy" has overtaken James Cameron's "Avatar: Fire and Ash" at the US box office last weekend, despite severe snow storm forcing movie theater closures across the country, Variety magazine reported on Monday.
