Bird flu discovered in cow outside the US for the first time

Berlin (dpa) - The bird flu virus has been detected in a cow outside the United States for the first time. Antibodies against the H5N1 virus were found in the milk of a cow in the Netherlands, according to a January 23 letter from the Dutch Minister of Agriculture to the country's parliament in The Hague. Germany's Friedrich Loeffler Institute (FLI), which deals with animal health issues, told dpa on Monday it is not aware of any other such cas......
