South Korea Bids for Canadian Submarine Deal - Reports

SEOUL, January 26 (RIA Novosti) - A high-level South Korean delegation has left for Canada in a bid to secure a contract to build submarines for the North American nation, the Yonhap news agency reported on Monday. South Korea is competing with Germany for a $40-billion deal to build up to 12 submarines to replace Canada's aging Victoria-class fleet.
