Germany's Greens propose mandatory supermarket price app

Berlin (dpa) - Germany's Greens want consumers to be able to compare supermarket food prices using an app that would require major retailers to report prices in real time, parliamentary group leader Katharina Dröge told dpa. Under the proposal, large supermarket chains would be obliged to participate in the app, while smaller stores could join voluntarily.
