Earth's magnetic storm days in 2025 poised to hit decade high: scientists

MOSCOW, Dec. 24 (Xinhua) -- The number of days with magnetic storms on Earth in 2025 is on track to reach its highest level in a decade, Russian scientists said Wednesday. According to a statement from the Laboratory of Solar Astronomy of the Space Research Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Earth has experienced 69 days with magnetic storms since the beginning of this year, up from 44 days in 2024.
