NEW YORK, Dec. 11 (Xinhua) -- The U.S. dollar fell in late trading on Thursday. The dollar index, which measures the greenback against six major peers, decreased 0.45 percent to 98.346 at 3 p.m. (2000 GMT). In late New York trading, the euro was up to 1.1740 dollars from 1.1678 dollars in the previous session, and the British pound rose to 1.3389 dollars from 1.3365 dollars in the previous session.
