85 pct of power disruptions restored in Sri Lanka after Ditwah

COLOMBO, Dec. 5 (Xinhua) -- Around 85 percent of power connections disrupted due to the emergency disaster situation caused by Cyclone Ditwah have now been restored in Sri Lanka, the Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) announced Thursday. Noel Priyantha, deputy general manager of the CEB, said the severe weather had disrupted power to 3.9 million of nearly 7 million electricity consumers in the country, noting that the majority of these connection......
