Chilean left-wing presidential hopeful Jeannette Jara on Monday attacked her far-right rival Jose Antonio Kast as an "authoritarian" figure with a flimsy record in Congress, as campaigning began for December's run-off. Jara, a 51-year-old communist and former labor minister, edged Kast to win the most votes in Sunday's first round of voting for president.
