Girl drowns in canal at Etunda village

OMUTHIYA, 17 NOV (NAMPA) – An eight-year-old girl allegedly drowned in a water canal at Etunda village on Friday, the Namibian Police Force (NamPol) has reported.
According to NamPol spokesperson, Deputy Commissioner Kauna Shikwambi, the girl slipped into the canal while fetching water and drowned.
“Her next of kin have been informed and investigations continue,” she said.
