BEIJING, Oct. 13 (Xinhua) -- Chinese stocks closed lower on Monday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index down 0.19 percent to 3,889.5 points. The Shenzhen Component Index closed 0.93 percent lower at 13,231.47 points. The combined turnover of these two indices stood at 2.35 trillion yuan (about 330.95 billion U.S. dollars) -- down from 2.52 trillion yuan on the previous trading day.
