BANGKOK, Oct. 8 (Xinhua) -- Thailand's consumer confidence improved for the first time in eight months in September, driven by optimism about the government's economic stimulus measures, a survey showed on Wednesday. According to a survey of 2,242 respondents conducted by the University of the Thai Chamber of Commerce, the consumer confidence index increased to 50.7 last month, up from a 32-month low of 50.1 in August.
