Inter Miami defender Jordi Alba to retire at end of MLS season

MIAMI, Oct. 7 (Xinhua) -- Inter Miami defender Jordi Alba has announced his retirement after a professional career spanning almost two decades. The 36-year-old former Barcelona and Spain left-back is under contract with Inter Miami until December 2027, but said he will step away at the end of the current MLS season.
