U.S. stocks close lower

NEW YORK, Oct. 7 (Xinhua) -- U.S. stocks ended lower on Tuesday. The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell by 91.99 points, or 0.20 percent, to 46,602.98. The S&P 500 sank 25.69 points, or 0.38 percent, to 6,714.59. The Nasdaq Composite Index shed 153.3 points, or 0.67 percent, to 22,788.36. Six of the 11 primary S&P 500 sectors ended in red, with consumer discretionary and communication services leading the laggards by dropping 1.43 percent an......
