Polish court extends custody of Nord Stream suspect

WARSAW, Oct. 6 (Xinhua) -- The District Court in Warsaw on Monday extended by 40 days the pretrial detention of Volodymyr Z., a suspect in the Nord Stream explosions, the Polish Press Agency reported. The suspect, a Ukrainian citizen, has been wanted by Germany over his alleged involvement in the explosions. "The court rejected the prosecutor's request for a 100-day pre-trial detention, instead ordering it for 40 days," his lawyer said. The......
