Avalanche in Slovenia kills 3 Croatian hikers

LJUBLJANA, Oct. 6 (Xinhua) -- Three Croatian hikers were killed by a snow avalanche in Slovenia, the Mountain Rescue Association of Slovenia said on Monday. The avalanche occurred on Sunday below Mount Tosc, a 2,275-meter peak in the Julian Alps. The body of one hiker was recovered late on Sunday, while rescuers found the other two on Monday, buried up to 1.5 meters beneath the snow.
