Armenian Parliament Rejects Bill Toughening Punishment for Genocide Denial

YEREVAN, October 2 (RIA Novosti) - The Armenian parliament on Thursday rejected a bill tabled by the opposition Armenia faction that would specify penalties for the denial of the Armenian Genocide and other genocides, a RIA Novosti correspondent reported. A total of 58 lawmakers from the ruling Civil Contract faction voted against the bill in the first reading. The opposition was short of twenty-six votes for the approval. The draft amendments......
