Guangdong carbon market closes lower

GUANGZHOU, Sept. 18 (Xinhua) -- Carbon emissions allowances closed at 30.13 yuan (4.24 U.S. dollars) per tonne on Thursday, 8.95 percent lower from Wednesday at Guangzhou Emissions Exchange, the largest local carbon market in China. A total of 1,649 tonnes of allowances were transacted on Thursday with a turnover of 49,683.74 yuan.
