Indonesia's central bank cuts interest rate to boost growth

JAKARTA, Sept. 17 (Xinhua) -- Indonesia's central bank, Bank Indonesia (BI), on Wednesday lowered its benchmark interest rate by 25 basis points to 4.75 percent in an effort to accelerate the country's economic expansion, according to BI Governor Perry Warjiyo. At its Board of Governors meeting, the central bank also reduced the deposit facility rate by 50 basis points to 3.75 percent and the lending facility rate by 25 basis points to 5.5 per......
