Sweden's government said Monday that it was boosting its defence budget by 26.6 billion kronor ($2.9 billion) next year, putting defence spending at 2.8 percent of GDP. Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson told a press conference the increase was "the next big step in the rearmament of the Swedish defence".
