Kicking off a data-heavy week, U.S. stocks close higher

NEW YORK, Sept. 8 (Xinhua) -- U.S. stocks finished higher on Monday as investors prepared for a data-heavy week featuring two key inflation reports. The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 114.09 points, or 0.25 percent, to 45,514.95. The S&P 500 added 13.65 points, or 0.21 percent, to 6,495.15. The Nasdaq Composite Index advanced 98.31 points, or 0.45 percent, to 21,798.7, closing at a record high after setting a new all-time intraday peak duri......
