9 detained over deadly police station attack in Türkiye's Izmir

ISTANBUL, Sept. 8 (Xinhua) -- Nine people were detained on Monday in connection with a deadly attack on a police station in Türkiye's western port city of Izmir, local media reported. The 16-year-old assailant, identified by the initials E.B., was captured after being wounded in the incident.
