French cinema actor Gerard Depardieu is to appeal an order from a judge calling for him to go on trial for alleged rape, his lawyer told the BFMTV news network on Tuesday. Depardieu is accused of raping and sexually assaulting another actor, Charlotte Arnould, in 2018. The investigating judge in the case on August 28 ordered a trial over the allegations.
