U.S. stocks close lower

NEW YORK, Sept. 2 (Xinhua) -- U.S. stocks ended lower on Tuesday. The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 249.07 points, or 0.55 percent, to 45,295.81. The S&P 500 sank 44.72 points, or 0.69 percent, to 6,415.54. The Nasdaq Composite Index shed 175.92 points, or 0.82 percent, to close at 21,279.63. Eight of the 11 primary S&P 500 sectors ended in red, with real estate and industrials leading the laggards by losing 1.74 percent and 1.06 percen......
