Liverpool striker Hugo Ekitike has been called up to the French national team for the first time as a replacement for the injured Rayan Cherki, the French Football Federation (FFF) announced on Sunday. Before Sunday's game with Arsenal, Ekitike had made an impressive start to his Liverpool career with three goals in three competitive outings since arriving in the close-season from Eintracht Frankfurt.
