German pumpkin festival draws crowds with 4-metre-tall sculptures

Leipzig, Germany (dpa) - A horse and acrobat, a tiger and a 4-metre-tall rabbit sculpted from pumpkins are among the exhibits at the annual pumpkin festival that opened near the eastern German city of Chemnitz on Saturday. A total of 18 sculptures made from thousands of decorative and edible pumpkins are on display at the Lichtenwalde Castle Park, transformed this year into a circus-themed arena.
