Former Osnabrück coach and assistant banned in manipulation case

Frankfurt (dpa) - Former Osnabrück coach Marco Antwerpen has been banned for one year and his ex-assistant Frank Döpper for three months by the German Football Federation (DFB) in connection with a manipulation scheme around a regional Cup final. The DFB sports court made the ruling on Thursday, not quite following the DFB control committee which wanted Antwerpen banned for 14 months and Döpper for four months, and both fined as well.
