Berlin (dpa) - The average retirement age in Germany continued to rise last year, with people stopping work at an average age of 64.7, up from 62.3 in 2000, the German Pension Insurance Fund's annual report showed on Thursday. The statutory retirement age in Germany is being gradually increased to 67 by 2031 but there is repeated discussion about raising it further to 70.
