German court rejects Warburg Bank appeal over ?155m Cum-Ex tax case

Munich (dpa) - Germany's Warburg Bank, embroiled in the country's Cum-Ex tax scandal, has lost a legal bid to challenge a major tax repayment. The Federal Fiscal Court in Munich dismissed on Thursday the bank's complaint against a November 2023 ruling by the Hamburg Tax Court, which upheld government claims for the return of ?155 million ($181 million). The sum relates to the years 2007 to 2011 and stems from fraudulent Cum-Ex share transactions.......
