Fluminense's Thiago Silva faces lengthy injury layoff

RIO DE JANEIRO, Aug. 4 (Xinhua) -- Veteran Fluminense defender Thiago Silva could be sidelined for up to eight weeks due to a hamstring strain, the Brazilian club said on Monday. Silva sustained the injury during Fluminense's 1-0 home victory over Gremio in Brazil's Serie A on Saturday. Scans on Monday showed the 40-year-old had suffered a grade two tear of the right hamstring, for which he is already undergoing treatment, the Rio de Janeir......
