Regional State of Emergency Declared in Russia's Amur Region After An-24 Crash - Governor

MOSCOW, July 24 (RIA Novosti) - A regional state of emergency was declared in Russia's Amur Region following the crash of the An-24 passenger aircraft on Thursday, Governor Vasily Orlov said. Earlier in the day, Orlov said that the plane, which disappeared from radar while en route from the Russian city of Blagoveshchensk to Tynda, carried 43 passengers, including five children, as well as six crew members.
