EU Commission Proposes to Buy Only Europe-Made Groceries for Schools – Reports

MOSCOW, July 16 (RIA Novosti) - The European Commission has proposed to buy only groceries produced in Europe for schools, the Financial Times reported on Wednesday, citing a draft proposal. The document reportedly says that buying dairy products, fruit and vegetables for schools produced in Europe will support domestic industries, from defense to agriculture. Brussels has urged schools to opt for groceries produced by small enterprises and farms......
