German Islamist social media influencer jailed for donation fraud

Dusseldorf (dpa) - A German Islamist TikTok star known as "Abdelhamid" has been sentenced to three years in prison for commercial donation fraud. The Dusseldorf Regional Court also handed down a suspended sentence of 21 months to his partner. The 34-year-old had raised almost ?500,000 in 37 fundraising appeals and, according to his confession, only passed on a very small portion of the money. It was mainly used to finance an extravagant lifestyle......
