Spanish inflation rises more than estimated to 2.3%

Madrid (dpa-AFX) - Spain's inflation rose more than estimated in June, final data from the statistical office INE showed on Tuesday. The consumer price index climbed 2.3% year-on-year in June. The rate was revised up from the initial estimate of 2.2% and was above the 2% rise seen in May. EU harmonized inflation also rose to a revised 2.3% from 2% in the previous month.
