Process of Disarming PKK Militants Begins in Northern Iraq - Reports

ANKARA, July 11 (RIA Novosti) - The process of disarming militants of the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK), banned in Turkey for terrorism, began on Friday morning in the Iraqi city of Sulaymaniyah, CNN Turk reported, citing eyewitnesses. The Turkish authorities expect to put an end to the long-term conflict with Kurdish militants that has been going on since 1984 and implement the "Turkey without terror" initiative, the report said....
