Germany's Philipp and Frenchman Laidlow claim Ironman wins in Roth

Berlin (dpa) - World champion Laura Philipp delighted a German home crowd with a first victory in the prestigious Roth Challenge Ironman on Sunday, but she fell well short of becoming the first women to dip below eight hours. Former world champion Sam Laidlow meanwhile became the first French athlete to win the men's race. Philipp was untouched as she won in 8 hours 18 minutes 18 seconds, after coming second last year and third in 2023. Australia......
