Lao gov't aims for economic growth, disaster control

VIENTIANE, June 26 (Xinhua) -- The Lao government has discussed disaster preparedness, flood relief and ongoing poverty reduction efforts during the recent monthly meeting for June. The meeting, held from Tuesday to Wednesday, discussed disaster response plans for the rainy season, focusing on flood preparedness, seed distribution, agricultural production, road repairs, irrigation, and dam water management.
