Violence Against Children in Armed Conflict Surged 25% in 2024 - UN Report

UNITED NATIONS, June 20 (RIA Novosti) - Violence against children in armed conflicts increased by a quarter last year compared to 2023, according to an annual UN report. "In 2024, violence against children in armed conflict reached unprecedented levels, with a staggering 25 per cent surge in the number of grave violations in comparison with 2023," the secretary-general said in the report "Children and armed conflict" released on Thursday.
