English 2000 Guineas winner Ruling Court's hopes of the classic triple crown were dashed when he was withdrawn from the Epsom Derby on Saturday because the ground was not to trainer Charlie Appleby's liking. Jockey William Buick felt the ground would not suit Ruling Court, after rain fell overnight and more was forecast ahead of the Derby (which is off at 1430GMT), after riding in the first race. Appleby took the decision after chatting with him.......
