Namibia launches inmate telephone system

WALVIS BAY, 07 JUN (NAMPA) – Namibia has become the first African country to launch the Telio inmate telephone system, which allows inmates to communicate with the outside world while maintaining security.

The one-way telephone communication is monitored and recorded, and requires the use of registered, vetted contact numbers only.
