Boston Bruins make Marco Sturm first German head coach in the NHL

Hanover (dpa) - Marco Sturm was on Thursday appointed Boston Bruins head coach, making him the first German to hold this position at a National Hockey League club. Former Germany player and coach Sturm succeeds interim coach Joe Sacco at the Bruins, who finished last in the NHL's Atlantic Division in the latest season and now hope for a turnaround.
